About Ea2Sa Models
Version 1.0
**************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
This document represents a series of enterprise architecture models developed by Ea2Sa.
The models, including the conceptual and structural development of the Ea2Sa enterprise view, were created using Archi®, a free, open-source, cross-platform tool for creating ArchiMate® models.
Archi®( https://www.archimatetool.com ) is designed to support enterprise architects and modelers at all levels of experience. It provides a low-cost entry point for practitioners who are beginning their work with the ArchiMate® modeling language, as well as for organizations seeking a robust, cross-platform modeling solution. Archi® is commonly used in conjunction with TOGAF® and other enterprise architecture frameworks to support structured analysis, design, and communication of enterprise architectures.

The Ea2Sa models documented here reflect a deliberate and methodical approach to enterprise architecture development, leveraging Archi® as the primary modeling environment to produce coherent, traceable, and framework-aligned architectural views.

******************************** What are Ea2Sa Models ***********************************
The Ea2Sa (Enterprise Architecture to Solution Architecture) model represents a comprehensive, capability-driven Enterprise Architecture Repository implemented in alignment with TOGAF and realized using ArchiMate. Its purpose is to provide a coherent, end-to-end architectural framework that connects enterprise strategy to executable solution architectures in a structured, traceable, and governable manner.
Rather than serving as a single architectural artifact—such as a capability map, solution diagram, or application landscape—the Ea2Sa model functions as a full-spectrum enterprise architecture repository. It spans multiple architectural domains and abstraction levels, enabling consistent alignment across strategy, business execution, applications, and technology platforms.
Architectural Scope and Structure
In TOGAF terms, the Ea2Sa model can be understood as a multi-domain, capability-driven architecture repository that incorporates:
• Strategy and Motivation Architecture
Capturing drivers, goals, outcomes, principles, and courses of action that define why the enterprise operates and what it seeks to achieve.
• Business Architecture
Representing business capabilities, value streams, processes, roles, and services that describe how value is delivered.
• Application Architecture
Defining application components, application services, data objects, and integration patterns that support business capabilities.
• Technology Architecture
Documenting infrastructure services, platforms, networks, and deployment environments that enable application execution.
• Solution and Implementation Architecture
Bridging enterprise intent to delivery through solution building blocks, implementation roadmaps, and migration views.
Alignment with the TOGAF Architecture Repository
The Ea2Sa model reflects the internal structure expected by the TOGAF Architecture Repository, including:
• Architecture Landscape
Providing views across strategic, segment, and solution architectures.
• Reference Library
Reusable patterns, models, and architectural exemplars.
• Standards Information Base (SIB)
Technology, integration, and design standards applied across solutions.
• Governance Log
Principles, decisions, and compliance touchpoints that guide architectural consistency.
• Architecture Views and Viewpoints
Stakeholder-specific perspectives supporting executives, architects, engineers, and delivery teams.
• Segment and Capability Architectures
Organizing the enterprise into manageable, capability-aligned architectural segments.
Purpose and Value
The Ea2Sa model is designed to:
• Establish traceability from strategy to implementation
• Support capability-based planning and investment decisions
• Enable consistent governance across multiple initiatives
• Provide a shared architectural language across business and technology stakeholders
• Serve as a living repository, not a static set of diagrams
In summary, the Ea2Sa model is best understood as a holistic enterprise architecture system—one that operationalizes TOGAF concepts through ArchiMate to connect enterprise intent, architectural structure, and solution execution in a disciplined and scalable way.
